The annual Gloucester schooner race is amazing. Sooo many sails! Gloucester suddenly looks like it must have when Sargent was painting it, at least from the outer harbor. We usually get out there in our own boat to watch. And to try to stay out of the way. Our son Jamie crewed on the Adventure in the race one year.
