More of the many small islands that are such fun to paint and explore, although when exploring, we have to watch the tide or the dinghy will wind up stranded up on the slippery rockweed making her difficult to relaunch, or afloat and banging against the rocks with every wavelet. We also usually only explore the outside of the islands unless there is a clear trail through the interior - the terrain is very fragile, especially in dry August, and we don't want to contribute to erosion. This was painted from the cockpit of our sailboat because we were expecting big gusts of wind and were worried about the anchor holding (don't want the boat to drag and land on the rocks), but earlier, we went ashore on the right hand island and I painted Anchoring the Edge.
