Isle o'Shoals is a hunk of granite off the coast of New Hampshire. We've had many adventures stopping while sailing up the coast. You can't anchor. My father always said the whole place was nothing but rock, including the bottom of the harbor. The mosquitoes are fierce, the seagulls noisy, it's seasicky, and in a storm, the harbor is a scary place to be. The water is clear, green, and cold.
