In winter, before we go to sleep I have to walk my dog, Kimba. I never want to- by the end of the day I am cold and tired, but when I look back, those walks are what I remember best. Orion walks across the sky and sometimes the moon is so bright I don't bother with the flashlight. There's lovely stargazing. Houses are dark except for their Christmas candles. Even when the wind is howling and the snow stings, it's just more exciting. This night, the clouds were scudding across the full moon - very dramatic! I painted it from memory the next morning.
