This lady slipper survived being passed over by 72 feet right before I took the reference photo for this painting!!! Several mornings a week, my dog and I join a group of dog walkers. We had an especially large group this particular morning. Even more miraculous than surviving all those feet was that it wasn't decapitated by the leashes!
