As I drive through Essex towards Gloucester, I pass one of Essex's clam shacks, perched on the edge of the salt marsh. Farnham's has been there ever since I can remember. As I drive by, am always caught by the view of the marshes. It's never the same. It's especially intriguing in winter. At dusk, the ice is pastel colors against the spots of dark water and cedars.
