I painted this sitting on the dock hoping it wouldn't start raining again. In this exact spot, I hunted crayfish as a child, watched the water skeeters and spinny bugs, and hoped a dragonfly would land on me with his prickly feet. Later, I honeymooned here, then showed my own children how to hunt for crayfish, and now my grandchildren. This lake is part of me.
